Brief Summary: This article was about depression in children and the different types of disorders. It was
very informative. It talks about the diagnosis and goes on explaining the pediatric symptom checklist and evaluation and testing.
This article also mentions treatments and the most available ones and some of the side effects.

1. Bereavement
occurs due to the loss of a loved one by death 2. Dysthymic Disorder: a mood disorder characterized by chronic mildly depressed
or irritable mood often accompanied by other symptoms such as eating and sleeping disturbances, fatigue, and poor self-esteem) 3.
I didn't know that Tricyclic antidepressants were the first available pharmacotherapy for depression in children. Although
I didn't know much about this issue from the start it has informed me about a lot of things I didn't know.
Detail
the strengths/weaknesses of this article. Strengths: the strengths of this article would be that it is very informative
and includes lots of information on depression in children and some statistics. Weaknesses: the only weakness I can see
is that it maybe a little hard for some people to read and understand.
How might this article be useful to you
in your further studies and career? I'm not sure that this article will be useful to me for my career. It has definitely
gave me a better understanding on children and depression and made me aware of this problem.
